  13. I am running WIN95 an recently purchased a Zoom V.34i.  The problem is
  14. that it gives slow transfers from my ISP.  I also have my old Zoom
  15. 14.4 running in another pc right beside this one.  I ran some tests to
  16. compare the transfer speeds.  With the 28.8 modem i get consistent
  17. download rates of 700 to 800 Bytes/sec.  With the older 14.4 modem, I
  18. get consistent download rates of 1900 to 2000 Bytes/sec.  I sent email
  19. to Zoom and they said to put the 28.8 on COM2 instead of COM4.  This
  20. didn't help at all.  I'm pulling my hair out trying to figure out why
  21. this thing is so slow.  WIN95 DUN says that I'm connected at 26000 to
  22. 28800, but why is this 28.8 only 1/3rd as fast as my old 14.4?
